A good suggestion to consider both X20 and X100S together. Similarly I think both are fine cameras, and there may not be any tangible differences in image quality in good light. In low light, the X100S may have a an edge. Whether it's a slight edge(improvement) or a significant one, that will be dependent on the expectations of the user I guess.
I have the X100 and I strongly consider the thought to buy the X20 (I loved the X10 but it had some sensor dust so back it went and the X100 was anyway on my thought).
