I just purchased a Nikon Coolpix P510

I would say, just learn to use it. Does it do everything perfectly? No, no camera does. Does it do some things very well? Yes! I was in Rome last month and we were taking night pictures of the Old Roman buildings from the top of the hill..The fellow beside me was shooting a Canon 7D with a 2.8 lens on it and my Nikon P510 (off a tripod,3 second exposure) pictures were nearly identical..I have a Sony A550 DSLR and a Canon S100..I carry all three because they do different things. The lens and sensor on the P510 allow me to take pictures of things that are out of reach with my other cameras..Good video, too.. The biggest trick is holding it still. If you do, it can shine!
