Hello,
I have a GX1 that came along with the 14-42 kit lense. While the lense is ok to use outside in good light, in a gym at a middle school with 7- and 8th graders I have to put ISO up to at least 4000 to get half way decent pictures.
I have a converter and put on my old Minolta 50mm 1.7 lense, and I can go down to ISO 2000 and get a fast shutter speed. Now I have however the problem that I have to manual focus. I like the lense and while manual focus is fine with me in a city in the evening, with the faster sport I'm often off with the focus.
So, here comes the question, what lense have you used with that camera in basketball game in a middle school. Lighting is not exactly the best.
I was wondering about the Panasonic 25mm or the Olympus 45mm. Any other suggestions? Is there a zoom that might work better?
I know there are the great new Panasonic 12-35 and 35-100 at 2.8, but while they are something I like to add at one point, they are simply out of my price range right now.
Thanks for any suggestions.

The best thing to do is look at your photos taken with the 14-42mm and make a note which focal length you used the most. If most of your photos taken around 25mm then get the 25mm 1.4 . If most of your photos taken at 42 then get 45 1.8
