New LX7 not sharp enough, what am I doing wrong??

Yes, seriously, when someone says they are having trouble focussing a camera, pointing out that the image is out of focus comes dangerously close to inanity.

I'm sure you aren't USUALLY inane, just slipped up here - after all more respondents missed the point entirely, too.

There are 229 pages to that manual, I missed that, and no one directly pointed it out, I finally found it myself.

I do apologize if you feel picked on: yours was just the most succinct response which missed the point, so I used it.

Most of the others were simply too long and missed even more points, or started in on favorite shibboleths, "RAW" , "oversharpened" &tc, for example.

I thank you for sticking to the discussion at hand which made me select your post for reply.
