So all in all, I just find doing "proper" video is simply not realistic. For casual stuff yeah everyone got their phone cameras. The only advantage for DSLR(SLT) over phone is better low light, or longer zoom lens since phone camera can cover reasonably wide angle.

Well, I'm not worried about making deathless art with the video function, at least not at the moment. There's a famous saying of G.K. Chesterton, or perhaps I should say, one of Chesterton's many famous sayings is, "If a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing badly." I'm willing to do video badly, at least as a starter. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth doing at all.
