Your photos remind me of someone trying to take photos with the lens cap on with a new camera, complaining about bad pixels (even though the camera may work fine if the sensor is actually getting some light).

So, I'd see how your monitor works in normal conditions (where you're actually generating a normal picture to it), before jumping to any conclusions
