New LX7 not sharp enough, what am I doing wrong??

Here's a direct "Magnified" comparison at almost the same image size so you can better see what I'm talking about.

At this point, I THINK the "manual focus" part of the problem is solved - thanks, Kevein, but the ZS19 is visually crisper.

Frightfully sorry the exposures aren't exactly the same, but, different days. At least I've had clear skies today and hopefully tomorrow.

I Zoomed the camera to the approximate size (estimated) of the crops, just for a comparison.

I've already discussed this. NO. Changes were made in an attempt to get a sharp-looking image. Sharpness +2. NR -2 in both cases to give the LX a chance.

Too dark for more shooting today.

Even when it was apparently in one or another "Manual focus" modes (an oxymoron with a 4.7mm ["24mm" equivalent] lens, BYW) it at least attempted to focus at near-infinity (these shots) and close (my keyboard - just looked, no pix).

Thanks, all, perhaps this will bring some advice, I'm trying to familiarize myself with this camera with your help.
