New LX7 not sharp enough, what am I doing wrong??

The detailed EXIF data say that this new photo was set to Sharpness +2, but the first photo you posted says the Sharpness was 0.  In this new photo I see sharpening artifacts which I didn't see in the first photo, which confirms the difference.  In any case, this sample looks like it is much sharper.  I would personally prefer to see a new sample with the Sharpness set to 0 since that is what I am familiar with in my LX7.

I then looked more closely at the first LX7 photo you posted and it looks to me that the ground in the foreground (right at the bottom edge of the picture) is sharp.  Is it possible that you half-pressed with the camera aimed down a bit and then raised it to take the picture?
