It was my only lens for the first 3 weeks I owned the OM-D...

I made the move to m4/3 a few months ago, and ordered the OM-D with just the 45mm 1.8 to start.  I knew I wanted a portrait lens, and a lens to shoot my son's basketball games, so the 45mm 1.8 seemed like the best fit for those two needs.

There were times during those first few weeks where I thought I could get by with just the one lens, but I had always intended to get other lenses, and I'm certainly glad I did.  I now have the 12-50, 14-150 and the Panasonic 25mm 1.4.

The Panny tends to be the lens I use most now - it's wide enough for most indoor casual portrait type shots, and it is just a fantastic lens.  (as is the 45mm 1.8).

I'd still agree with most of the others on this thread though - buy used or refurb, and with the money saved, get one of the kit lenses to go with the 45mm 1.8.
