Actually, not millions of pro-sumer high end compacts lilke the Nikon 7100-more like thousands.

Ham fisted people don't buy those cameras, they buy large dSLR's with lots of space between the buttons, external grips, etc..

Actually, it is a tiny camera with closely space buttons.  Someone comming from a FF dSLR would find it cramped.  If they have big hands, or need to shoot in the cold with gloves on-close to inoperable.
