Processing jpgs question.
Jan 17, 2013

I have a bunch of old jpgs that I want to look at and enhance if possible. I want to do this in Aperture 3. The photos are currently in DPP. (Canon's Digital Photo Professional) In making the transfer is it best to convert the jpgs to tiff or just transfer them as jpgs. I don't understand all of the file bit rates and the jpg compression, but I have heard that you should convert your jpgs to tiff. And in the conversion it says tiff (16 bit) I don't know if that makes any difference because I thought jpg was 8 bit.

Thank you.
