My first 50mm/1.8 shots, as expected?

hmm, your are doing something I am not?  your angle looks to be less, but what I notice is the entire battery (not the center one) looks to be in focus vertically.  I can see dust on you table

where was your focus point?  I focused on the tall screw toward the top, only slightly higher than the shorter screws (with my camera flat on the table).  however, my table is all blurry?
