don't know if anyone here reads or subscribes to Lloyd Chambers website but he has some distressing results from the X-Pro 1 and X-E1 regarding "fractal like defects" in many images involving fine detail:

He goes into great detail in his for-pay portion of the website but there's a great deal of rather distressing artifacts noted even in the free website.

He's been holding out hopes for the new RAW processing with Capture One but now it's out and there are still problems.  Lloyd is the ultimate pixel peeper but I recall that he has been a real fan of the quality of photos delivered by the original Fuji X100.

I read the glowing reports of photo quality written by fans of these new Fuji designs and really wonder if Lloyd's findings are noticeable to other photographers who are using the cameras and making big enlargements.  Every camera tends to look lousy at 100% if you look close enough.

Have any of you noted fractal like distortions on photos that you have taken?
