If I understand the intent of your reply, I assume that you think that I am trolling. Hardly so. I don't own one of the recent FFs (MK III, D800) that have come out, so this speedbooster is very exciting for me.

I simply want to solicit information from those who already have experience with FF shooting every day and this forum would make the most sense since Canon sells the most cameras and FFs to people in the world.

After Metabones put out their EF to NEX with focus adapters last year, a couple Chinese shops made clones which sold at 1/2 price. I'm wondering how low it will take them to reverse engineer this speedbooster. $600 is pretty stiff but most people have already said they would line up to buy them. $300 would have them fighting it out to get one like free pancake day at IHOP.

Now if Metabones or someone else were to make a speedbooster for the EOS-M (and I hear that Canon is fixing to put out a mirrorless pro body this year) that would be absolutely spetacular because I've always preferred the Canon menu system.

I think that if SONY can come up with a NEX that doesn't feel operationally stifled compared to a camera like the MKIII that is studded with manual controls, this speedbooster would be the perfect thing. Let's say that that the quality difference is 10% -- that'd still be more than enough for most people to get into FF land.

People like me will never be able to buy a Leica Noctilux 50mm 0.9, much less even an EF 50mm 1.2 L, but for a few hundred bucks this speedbooster would get us there. And, it would apply to ALL our lenses. This is heady stuff. Again, I can only hope that this technology gets rapidly copied so the price comes done.
