Hi Bill,
Thanks very much for your detailed and very useful response...it's much appreciated and it's great to hear the views of someone with experience of the cameras. Very glad you rate the GH3 so highly.
I think I will end up going for the GH3 and 14-140 kit. Do you rate that as a better option than the 12-35 as it's more versatile, or simply because it's cheaper.
Thanks again for your advice.
Best,
Dan
Hi Dan, I personally like the flexibility of the 10:1 lens. Right now, I don't need the 12-35 - I have the MA1 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter and a couple of fast old lenses (Oly 11-22 f2.8-3.5 and a Sigma 18-50 f2.8). I will buy the 12-35 when it comes down in price.
Others have raised good points about still image quality in this thread - but, I have been shooting with Minolta, Nikon and Canon film SLRs and DSLRs for 40 years, and I am very happy with the speed and quality of the images (to include low light images) coming out of the GH3.
Again, hope this is helpful!
Bill
