Reikan Focal Software Test Results
In reply to ocean76, Jan 17, 2013

hi to you all,

as I told before, I have purchased the Focal Plus verison from Reikan and run a test with 3 of my lenses...(with my d7000)

I have to say that this software is really very simple to use and very user friendly.
The explanations and quick start guide are very helpful and easy to follow.

let's come to the most important part: the test results..

I find the test result for my 35mm nikkor lens very very accurate.
according to the test, the value needed to be af fine tuned is -16 and below are the photos : 1st one is no af fine tuned and the 2nd one is with -16 af fine tune.
I think the difference is obvious so I am very pleased with this test however...

for my 2nd lens (which is a zoom lens; nikkor 16-85) , for the 52mm focal length, the test result is -10.
and if you pls examine the below photos; you'll see that there is no tiny difference between the original and af fine tuned (-10 value) verisons.
1st photo is -10 af fine tuned version and the 2nd one is the original (no af fine tune at 52mm) version...

(all the photos are 100% cropped versions..)

So now I am confused...there should be a difference between these 2 , right?
