I see NO reason whatsoever to use SilkyPix. Not worth the time.

Are you in flat view or threaded view?

If you are in flat view you just have to scroll up a little to see the best from Capture One, and even the OOC JPEG, complete with green colour bleeding into white lettering on the sign.

I don't see the Capture One image you are referring to. Do you mean your original post? There are four images, followed by the Silkypix one. Of the four images, only two are labelled.

Hello John

That's dpreview journalism for you! (They're great with certain things, but not with others).

However, we can assume that the images are arrayed vertically (as always) and anything in a column is described by the label at the top.

Here are the Capture One samples - BTW you can see all this (except for the Silkypix images) in a front page article from several days ago.

Here are the C1 images compared with the RFC/Silkypix ones they are at the top of page 2 (this page) in flat view:

And the article itself :

Thanks.

Why don't they show Silkypix output? I can only guess, but until I downloaded and opened this image in RFC I had no idea that RFC could produce better output than the OOC JPEGs.

Bear in mind that my 100% crop is from a default rendering by RFC, no adjustments or tweaking at all.

I have only played with Silkypix briefly, but I was impressed by the quality of the output.
