I use capture-sharpening with my D800E.

I studied this in the lab and found, as a rule of thumb, that the D800E should receive less capture-sharpening than the D800, about 0.5px radius less. cf. http://falklumo.blogspot.de/2012/05/d800-aa-filter.html . So, under excellent conditions where you would use 0.5px sharpening with the D800, you actually don't sharpen the D800E. But in most cases, you still would.

But both, the D800 and D800E produce so much detail that most likely, you don't need any capture-sharpening for either camera if you scale down image size, for print on less than A2 or publication.
