The depth of field with the FZ is relatively endless compared to what you will get with the 60mm Zuiko or any other macro lens on a larger sensored camera, even stopped down to f8 or f11.

As I understand it, you get more DOF with a smaller sensor for a given aperture, so for example you get more DOF with a small sensor (e.g. FZ) camera at f/8 than you do with a MFT camera at f/8.  However, lenses on MFT cameras typically have smaller minimum apertures than small sensor cameras, and this tends to even out the amount of DOF you can get with the two systems.

For example, my Canon SX10is has a small sensor (about 6mm wide) like the FZ cameras. It has a minimum aperture of f/8 like the FZ cameras. My G3 has a larger sensor (18mm wide). My lenses for the G3 have a minimum aperture of f/22.

When I use any of my achromats on the SX10 using its minimum aperture of f/8, I get much the same DOF (perhaps fractionally less) as with the G3 lenses with their minimum aperture of f/22.
