Beginning to favor the smaller sensors

Beginning to feel the intermediate 1/1.6 sensors are more suited (than a bigger one) for me. I generally shoot indoors at small F-numbers (the Panasonic 20mm/1.7 lens) to get a faster shutter speed. When I use a bigger sensor like the M43, unless I am specifically shooting one face (or unless all my subjects are in the same plane parallel to the sensor) the bokeh / shallow DOF / blur of everything else in the room is too unwelcome for me.

Sure there is more room to increase the ISO (along with the F-number) with a bigger sensor, but the increase in noise seems to more than offset the gain in the DOF. I would rather have a deeper DOF most of the time than a shallow DOF.  Give me a higher crop factor!

I guess you cannot have the cake and eat it too. Any thoughts?
