Baitng - is that like a bird feeder in your back yard enticing wild birds with store bought grain in a man made feeder influencing their natural behaviour? [I am not against it and enjoy seeing them] I am heavily involved in animal ethics - domestic livestock and the wild kingdom, international wildlife conservation and photography has been my career. The number of photos I have seen or known were taken which involved subtle or slight human input and influence are massive! ie: the photographer who Chums up Great White off Capetown SA or in the Great Australian Bight for his action photo. The photographer or bird watcher who will go to a known man made feed supply point and take advantage of it to get his close up photo of a Deer, Antelope of Bird. The list goes on and on........ Teaching a wild animal in your local area to trust in your presence, having them become accustomed to you being near and allowing you to come nearer is human imprinting on that animal. Could that action endanger it - possibly? Many regard that an ethical issue in itself and I do it every day in my interaction with animals! People with the net at hand with throw their heart and soul at points above being a major ethical issue and decry the photographer who took the photo, but not protest a word at China's Tiger, Bear and newly started Rhino farms for their barbaric body part trade and the global push by China and Vietnam to erase the wild populations of Tiger, Rhino, Elephant, Bear from the earth for their financial gain. All the while, eagerly buying and consuming their Chinese made products! There are ethical issues and there ARE ETHICAL issues.... I have a wild Kangaroo here not 4 feet away from my laptop. I have accustomed him to me and am going to go get a piece of grass in hand to take a photo of him reaching for it.

They are great shots Danny, I understand where you are coming from and I appreciate the photos for why you posted the link to them.... Cheers mate.

Cam....

Thanks Cam and its always a tough subject in nature forums. It even comes down sometimes to, someone that picks off a leaf and places it on a rock next to a river, just to balance out the shot and give a little colour. "What you mean you took a leaf off a tree !!"

So the list goes on and on and on Sometimes it comes from those that go out with small cameras and take people shots without their permission while trying to stay hidden, LOL.

So ethics are all around us and I try to avoid it on the net and especially international forums for obvious reasons.

Say hello to the Roo for me

All the best Cam.

Danny.
