It is going for $500 on B&H, and I am ordering a GH2 tomorrow with the 14-42. I am either grabbing the 45-200 or the above, but I haven't found any MTF charts on the -300. Is it decent or just a generic long tele? I already have a sony for stills, so my GH2 will likely be mainly for video, although in sufficient light I may just keep the Pana out for stills too. Don't want to buy a junk lens, and with ETC the 200 will be equiv of 1000mm which is outstanding for such sharp video. Thanks in advance for info.

There are mixed opinions about the 100-300.  Personally I think it's a decent lens for the money.  It's not tack sharp at the long end but it's pretty good stopped down a little.  AF is a bit on the slow side, so not great for action shots.  I'd say it's comparable to the Canon EF 70-300 that I used previously.  I'm sure that it's better at 200mm than the 45-200 at 200mm.
