I don't think so. I would say you probably want a 24 or 28, but it's a rather abstract question.

If you were asking, what one lens would you use, then yes, 35mm on FX would be my choice for a single lens prime. However, if asked what two lens prime set would you use, my answer is 28/85.

Having said that, with my zooms, I frequently use my 16-35 and mostly for the wide end.
