True enough. It's just that I'm limited by finances now. I would, of course, plan on adding lenses later, and, in the meantime, can only really afford something in the $1200 - 1300 range.

Do whatever you want, but so far *nobody* has chimed in saying that the 45mm is a good idea for your only lens.  If you're already committed to buying it, why ask the question?
