I use the Zeiss 1.8/24, Sigma 30/2.8 & Sigma 19/2.8, all superbly sharp ;-)! For longer shots I would suggest the E 18-200, which has the advantage optical stabilisation - fairly sharp in the long end, very unusual for such a long zoom.
Quite honestly I didn't like the kit zoom one bit! Nor the 16, that I also sold to finance other lenses!
