Yes, there's little evidence of real macro shots with the 60mm, it's just another prime lens to collect to many.

Hopefully it is really good, as today I should be able to pick up my copy at the shop to finally play with it. Maybe I'll do a comparo of usability between the 60mm and my 4/3 35mm macro and 50mm macro will see which is nicest to use for which purpose. Also have a cheapo Cosina Nikon fit 100/3.5 macro that is lousy at f/3.5 but quite good down around f/8 to 22 to add to the mix.

Many macro attempts fail to use the appropriate small apertures as they are seemingly after "best image quality" but more often than not macro has to be down in the f/16-22-32 area to get some depth of field and too bad about diffraction losses.

I'm always impressed by Danny (nzmacro in the forums) and his use of Raynox added to Panasonic tele zoom lens. It's more the person than the lens when it comes to macro. See http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/post/38953070

Regards....... Guy
