Olympus 60mm f2.8 Macro is it all hype?

Are you responding to the lens' capabilities or the skills and esthetic judgment of its owners? Best as I can tell from the by now thousands of available samples, in skilled hands the lens delivers "true" macro, and at a reasonably comfortable working distance as compared to my 35mm macro. Optically it seems generally in the same league as the ZD50, only with a much greater feature set. Hard for me to see anything not to like.

Which is not to say one can't do fine macro with (select) existing glass and an extension tube. It's just not as convenient.
