I have a NEX3 and it works nice with that. I also wondered about the value (as I rarely use flash) but for some images it is v useful. My only issue is that Sony seem to keep changing their mind about flash system support (having had 3 external mounts and some internal flash units across the NEX range now). So good marks to Sony for doing this extra flash unit, low marks for all the different incompatible flash formats across different NEXes of the past 2-3 years...
And this is what is holding me from buying this flash. I will, in the future, upgrade to a newer body and this will mean that the flash will not longer work on the NEX6 for example.
I want a good flash but I don't really have accessories that can't be used in the future.
