Tagging iPad photos for use on PC

is there a way to use the iPad to cull photos and send the marked favorites back to PC to be further processed?

i just got the camera connector kit, dumped my vacation photos on iPad, selected the good ones...and now I am stuck I want to send remaining keepers to my PC. I don't want to use iTunes If I can help it.
