I can't access my 'Private messages'...

Is anyone else having problems?

I have a single private message message waiting for me, as indicated by the red flag by my name in the blue panel to the right. However when I attempt to load it by clicking, I get the right page, also the "loading messages" label, and the rotating wheel..

..... but it just keeps rotating and nothing actually loads... [??]

Everything was fine a couple of days ago, but this problem has arisen within the last 12 hours.... [???]

Can anyone offer help?
