Tiny CMOS---3.1 Megapixels

All this talk about the benefits, yea, even the necessity of having 18, 20 or 24 Megapixels, sent me back to look at some J-PEG photos I had caught with my 5-year old Sony HDR-HC9 camcorder. Some of these were taken while the camcorder was rolling tape for HDV video, but they are not vid-caps. It has a CMOS with a .13-inch diagonal active area and there are 2.3-MP on the 16:9 segment and 3.1-MP on the 4:3 sensor.
Some larger sizes are available by using the link on my Signature to my Flickr album and searching it for "Sony HC9". I'm not planning on making giant posters from these, but just filling a large computer monitor.
