Macro ring flash for OMD & 60mm lens

I recently bought the 60mm 2.8 macro lens primarily as a sharp short telephoto and portrait lens but with the idea that I would also be encouraged to begin to learn the best way to take macro shots. I promised myself I'd try not to take the standard shots of 'flies eyes' or flowers but have found myself already attempting the latter!
I began to read around the subject yesterday and noticed a thread on this forum regarding the usefulness of ring flashes and a couple of possible options were discussed which seemed quite expensive.
I saw this one yesterday.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Polaroid-Includes-Diffusers-Warming-Panasonic/dp/B008RBD2YA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358284482&sr=8-1
I'm wondering whether it might work with my camera lens combo.. how it attaches to the lens etc.. whether having the 60mm's lens hood on the camera makes a difference etc?
Any advice greatly appreciated. I hardly ever use flash for anything so keep it simple please!
Thanks!
