What pros and which clients are they providing content for? I do not doubt that there are situations where small sensor, bodies, lenses, file size combos can fulfill the job requirement just as a Nikkormat would have sufficed for those same duties 20 years ago. Car Trader Magazine comes to mind.
I'd say the comment is based on a need to feel relevant and competitive and not on a sudden slew of nationally published works shot by five and six figure a day professional photographers attributed to M43 cameras. But hey, assert away, like it matters.
