RX100 portrait sharpness - what can I expect?

I noticed that my casual portraits of people never really looked totally sharp. I'm wondering if my unit is not perfect or if I'm doing something wrong or if it is the level of sharpness one can expect from this camera.

I looked at the dpreview roundup of compact cameras again and noticed that the portrait shot there also didn't look totally sharp:

Especially compared to the XZ-2 and the X10:

But also compared to the XF1 and the S110 it doesn't look much better in terms of sharpness:

Is that the level of sharpness one can expect with the RX100?

Thanks,

Tobias
