I noticed you missed the listed bit rate data regards the D5200 you asked about in the other thread. Here it is copied from their page. Hope that helps regards your inquiry.

Movie Specs

Wow. thanks for that, Mako! Craziest gobbledygook of a farrago I had ever laid eyes own. Nikon is mixing and matching progressive with interlaced so bad, probably even they do not know what the heck type of video the poor thingy records, he-he-he. Basically, your run of the mill $150 P&S camera can do as good of a video as this $900 Nikon body can muster.

Interlaced video -- in the year 2013?

No 60p recording in 1080 resolution mode -- in the year 2013?

Mono track audio recording -- in the year 2013?

Maximum of 24Mbit/sec recording data rate -- well, you know already in which year we are.

Thank you so much for the heads-up, the D600 probably can do no better. Anyhow, I see no reason now to go with a flip-up / flip-down type of mirrored DSLR for recording video, and besides, a 72Mbit/second all intraframe only video codec (in the Lumix GH3) sounds a tad better to me than max. 24Mbit/sec interframe Long GOP, as is the case with the Nikon DSLRs. Nothing short of amazing, really. Now I know why everyone is lining up for a Lumix GH3.
