Thus my point with the EOS-M.  That is a miniaturized version of the T4i....and then minus a viewfinder, mirror box, all sorts of buttons and controls, etc etc.  Of course, miniaturizing something costs money, and some of that is offset by losing some of the manufacturing complexity.  I drew parallels between the same sensor with a very different body around it so you could extrapolate the missing information.
