Long zoom suggestions?

I tested on out at the local camera shop and like it handling and initially IQ over the Sigma dg 70-300mm(the one that cost $200 or less) and the regular Sony 75-300mm. I know it can be had for about $250 open box so that is right now near the top of the list.
