Helpful tip on using DMF on the RX1

Im starting to use the DMF focus on the camera more and am finding it pretty helpful. I have the contrast set to red for manual focus.  What I find is with up close objects where I am trying to get the focus at exactly a certain point, I just pull the camera back or forward until the area I won't to focus on turns red then shoot. Its not enough to mess with the framing of the shot and if so I can crop later. Sorry not a solution for kids or moving subjects.

I see no advantage to keeping the camera in AF mode VS DMF unless your accidentally hitting the focus ring when shooting.
