You could consider the 35 macro with an adapter on m43. It has to do the full hunt from full out to in for focus, but that's no worse than on my E510 where it sometimes doesn't do anything and then jumps to focus.

I could and that was a potential route but now I have satisfied myself that I'm sticking with m4/3s I'd like to avoid adaptors. I don't rule out that option though, although I might do if someone shows me convincing proof thet the Oly 60mm is better than the 35mm.
