Thinking of taking the dive....but confused

The 4.6MP is a good match for resolution with 10MP Bayers.  It is noticeably less resolving than 16MP cameras and the OMD is a decent 16MP despite having the 4/3 sensor.

If you are finding a difference like that between 35mm and medium format film in favour of the older Foveon sensor, you might want to start exploring why that is rather jumping to conclusions. If you were making the comparison between the OMD and the DP2 Merrill, you might have a better argument. The DP2m and DP1m will definitely outresolve the OMD!
