A $40 difference? Wow. Have you shopped around?
Here in the US, on NewEgg the price for a i7 3820 is the same as a i7 3770. Only when you go to the i7 3770K does the cost go up by $30. The K version only grants you an extra 100 MHz in stock clock speed and an unlocked multiplier for easier overclocking. If you don't plan to do much overclocking, then don't bother looking at the K version.
