So I'm close to pulling the tigger on a FZ200, but ...

... I find myself wondering about something. Why are some people still choosing other compacts with roughly equivalent focal lengths at roughly equivalent price points? I understand that some people might really "need" 50x optical zoom or whatever, so I understand why some might go with something like a Canon SX50 HS. But why would someone, for example, choose something like a Sony HX200V over an FZ200? Unless I'm missing something (and perhaps I am) it doesn't make sense. I mean seriously, isn't a constant f/2.8 aperture the kind of feature that one wouldn't want to pass up? What do other similar cameras have that make up for the lack of such a stunning feature? A tiny bit more zoom? A few more megapixels? Slightly different sensor technology?

I guess what I'm really asking here is if there's any truly good reason to take another good look at any other cameras before I go ahead and grab an FZ200, considering that I don't need ridiculous amounts of zoom.
