Problem with 580 flash on a 5D3

I think you discovered my issue. I think I'm inadvertently pressing the DOF preview button. I've owned a 5D2 for five years and didn't know you could do that with a flash. One, I hardly ever use flash; two, I hardly ever read manuals. Lessons learned.
