D300 Aspect Ratio
Jan 15, 2013

Found an old (2008) article from CEN Photography with a review for the D300  - I read anything I can lay hands on to help me in my quest to master this awesome pice of equipment . . .
I'm way outside of my knowledge and experience zone but I'm going to keep trying.

This article had nothing but praise for the camera and included the following remark . . .
"Ever get tired of manually cropping the standard 35mm format to fit an 8x10? Now you can set it in camera and shoot away then print directly to an 8x10, 5x7, and more! Aspect ratios you can select are 3:2, 4:3 and 5:4."
My problem is I can't find any reference to this in the Op Manual and I'm begining to think that I've either misunderstood completely, or perhaps the manual refers to it by something other than Aspect Ratio.
I even went so far as to bring up the online version and let the computer scan for the term, without success.

I'm either looking for the wrong thing or (more likely) understanding the thing wrong . .  can someone point me the right way please?

I'll try to add a picture, nothing to do with my question, just to share a picture . . .

Not sure how to use the code, so I'll try an alternative . . .
