I have 2 Sony ttl flashes, but I have become enamored with radio wireless for shooting birds at my feeders from the comfort of my breakfast table. I mount my flash in a tree via a clamp mount, but am concerned about putting an expensive flash there. Thus I'm going to buy a cheap manual flash with variable fixed power.
Recommendations would be appreciated. Or would I be better off to look for a used 42 or 56?
Cheap Yungnuo flashes with cheap radio triggers (I use pixel soliders, but the Yungnuo RF602's etc are good as well) sounds like a good idea.. as you say, spending loads on a flash to stick in a tree sounds like a recipe for the inevitable!
