You are right, I completely missed that point. My bad.
But also there, the Pentax K-30 will be better than most (any) point-and-shoot. On the other hand, Pentax shines at a very though weather sealing. (Oh, no, I'm not a Pentax fanboy---more like a Canon one as I myself am on that system, just because I started out with a analog film-rebel back those days).
So, it is hard to recommend anything. But all will be a step up from a point-and-shoot, but also need quite some time in learning.
But also, no real mistake will be made, by the choice of one brand over the other, since all the products are reasonable ...
