Regrettably rx1 returning.

h00ligan, I hope your decision is not regrettable.   For me, it was a decision between the NEX 24mm or the RX1 and the RX1 I find much better on many levels.  Your lens wish list has many different focal lengths, which suggests you still need focal length flexibility from a camera body.  Nothing wrong with that.   I saw a different post of yours indicating a need for an articulating screen, particularly driven by your tall height.  Once again, a reasonable desire.  It is well covered in these forums and in reviews the RX1 fits a very specific niche for someone with very specific wants.  It commands the price it has because certain people want what it offers, not need what it offers.

I happen to find this camera does offer me those very special images that you are not seeing.  There is some real talent within the RX1 Fickr group that helped put on display for me what some off the camera capabilities are.

I think the return of the RX1 is a good decision for you, because, to your point, at the price of the RX1 a person should have no doubts.  I hope you are able to complete your quest for the right body/lens combo in a timely fashion.  Life is short.
