Where is that stupid little accessory flash?

I have no idea right at this moment which illustrates why I despise the silly thing and would much prefer my E-PL3 to have a built-in flash.

As it was, with the stupid little accessory temporarily AWOL, I had to haul out the FL50 to photograph (well, snap!) one of Papua New Guinea's birdwing butterflies that made a night call to our verandah.

I fitted the trusty 40-150, dumped off the VF, fitted the flash, and sallied forth to do battle.

A most clumsy handful.

The E-PL5 was on my list for replacing the E-PL3 one day, but it has been slipping slow downwards. Tonight was a reminder that you can take quirkiness a step too far.

If I had had a G5, I would have just flipped up the built-in flash ...
