What is your opinion on vertical grips?

I have the vertical grip on my a99 and the Manifrotto ball head.  This looks killer and chicks dig it.

At my age anything to make me more interesting is good.  I have a puppy too.  I wanted to rent me a baby but the wife said no.  She figured it out.  So my cool camera, the ball head, and the pickup truck get me cowgirls that are into old men with cameras.  So far I have NOT found one.  I think she's coming and will have a plaid top knotted at the bottom with a white cowboy hat.

All that said, I have NOT needed the grip for the batteries yet, but it's big and I've got big arthritic mitts.  ha.

The wow factor.  Go for it.
