meanwhile... for m43 shooters':

Canon EF 24-70mm f4L IS an EF 34-99mm f2.8L IS (but, no-IS)
Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS an EF 34-149mm f2.8L IS (but, no-IS)
Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L II non-IS an EF 34-99mm f2.0L II non-IS
Canon EF 24mm f1.4L II non-IS an EF 34mm f1.0L II non-IS
Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L II an TS-E 34mm f2.5L II

24mm x 0.71 = 17.04mm [17mm] x 2.0 = 34.08mm 'equivalent FOV' [34mm] for m43
70mm x 0.71 = 49.7mm [50mm] x 2.0 = 99.4mm 'equivalent FOV' [99mm] for m43
105mm x 0.71 = 74.55mm [75mm] for FF x 2.0 = 149.1mm 'equivalent FOV' [149mm] for m43

Aren't they saying the m43 version will be .5x ?

If that is the case, a Canon 24-70 will give 24-70 effective focal length on m43. And more intererstingly, a 17ts will still be effectively a 17ts on m43

Not physically possible due to limited space in adapter.
